A Saturday night police intervention on Avenue de la Gare in Esch-sur-Alzette led to the arrest of an individual attempting to flee with narcotics. Officers observed the suspect abruptly change direction upon noticing police presence, diverting toward Rue Ernie Reitz.

Law enforcement initiated a stop-and-search procedure after witnessing the suspect’s evasive behaviour. During the inspection, officers noted the individual making swallowing motions and intervened to prevent potential evidence destruction. The suspect resisted officers but was promptly restrained.

Authorities recovered 18 cocaine pellets during the arrest. The public prosecutor’s office was informed and ordered a CT scan that revealed additional concealed contraband.

The individual was arrested and appeared before an examining magistrate on Sunday morning. In addition to drug charges, the suspect was fined for resisting law enforcement during the arrest.
