Authorities conducted surprise inspections at multiple fast-food establishments in eastern Luxembourg on Tuesday during a coordinated operation by police and the Customs and Excise Authority.
One restaurant agreed to voluntarily close after inspectors identified hygiene regulation violations, with plans for a follow-up inspection pending corrective action.
At a second establishment, managers failed to produce a valid operating licence, resulting in immediate temporary closure and additional reports filed for undeclared labour violations.
Meanwhile, investigators are examining licencing discrepancies at a third business.
All affected businesses will undergo reinspection to verify compliance with Luxembourg’s food safety and business operation standards.
