The two parties announced their decision on Thursday morning in a joint statement. They had set up the so-called "technical group" after the parliamentary elections in 2018, with the goal of facilitating the organisation of parliamentary work for both parties, as neither had sufficient elected officials to claim the creation of a parliamentary group on their own.
Since the financial endowments made available to political sensitivities and parties were revised upwards, maintaining the technical group was deemed to be superfluous and it will be dissolved at the end of the year.
