The company announced the change on Wednesday, underlining its “continued commitment to a key market in the heart of Europe.” Microsoft also highlighted Luxembourg’s strong position in innovation, particularly in multilingualism, infrastructure and artificial intelligence.

Marijke Schroos, General Manager of Microsoft Belgium and Luxembourg, praised Grange’s experience and knowledge of the local market, describing him as a leader with strong team spirit. She also thanked Respaut for his work since 2023.

A French national, Grange has lived in Luxembourg for 15 years. In recent years he has overseen support for EU institutions and played a central role in cloud and AI projects.

“It is an honour and a great responsibility to take on this role,” Grange said in a press release. “I look forward to driving Microsoft’s development in Luxembourg together with a strong team.”

Microsoft already collaborates with several major players in the country, including SES, POST and ArcelorMittal, as part of the government’s “Digital Sovereignty 2030" strategy. For Grange, the moment is just right to help position Luxembourg as “a leading player in the digital era.”
