Passengers on board the 6.55am flight to Vienna were shocked when police boarded the plane to remove a passenger. Eye witnesses reported the man was taken off the aircraft with his hands and legs bound. The incident is said to have passed extremely quickly, with police taking control of the situation.
When questioned, a member of the flight crew said the incident had not been a training exercise. The man was due to be repatriated but had behaved so badly while boarding the flight that he needed to be removed by the authorities.
