CFL issued a statement noting that the majority of people was respectful of the regulation, yet reminding that infringements are still being punished with monetary fines of up to €145.

Regular announcements are meanwhile being made in both trains and stations. According to CFL, there are nevertheless 8% of people who are not complying with the measure, which is why an increased amount of checks was being conducted over recent months with the support of police and border officers.

CFL is in regular contact with the ministry of health to keep up-to-date with the most recent developments around Covid-19 and educate their staff members.

Trains are cleaned and disinfected on a regular basis. It is clear however that not all traces of the virus can be eliminated and that a certain level of danger remains present at all times.
