A pedestrian was hit by a car on Rue de la Libération in Linger at around 12.30am. Alongside the emergency crews from Pétange and Käerjeng, the Esch emergency medical service was also on site to attend to his injuries.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, at around 8.15pm, firefighters were called out to Rue du Moulin in Schifflange, where wood shavings had caught fire. No one was injured.
