According to the police bulletin, the victim is "in critical condition". The accident occurred in rue Saint-Nicolas in Remich at around 3.30 pm on Tuesday afternoon.
The Remich and Schengen fire brigades were on the scene, as were the Remich ambulance and the emergency services from Esch-sur-Alzette.
A team of forensic police was also dispatched to the scene of the accident to determine the exact cause.
