The accident occurred around the Aire de Berchem rest area at 10pm, in the direction of the Croix de Gasperich. One person was injured.
Roeser and Bettembourg emergency services attended the incident, while the victim was treated by the capital's ambulance service.
Six more people were injured on Luxembourg's roads on Wednesday afternoon. 112 reported a two-car collision on the RN12 between Féitsch and Hameville around 1pm, in which one person suffered injuries.
Another collision yielded two injured parties on the RN07 between Hosingen and Marnach shortly after 1pm.
In Bissen at 1.20pm a bus and a cyclist were involved in a collision, injuring one.
Another person was injured after their vehicle flipped over on rue de Bettembourg in Kockelscheuer.
Finally, one more person suffered injuries after a collision in Foetz around 4.20pm.
Fires
Firefighters intervened in Luxembourg City in the middle of the night after a fire in a field on Rue de Cessange was reported. The fire was declared shortly before 3am and was quickly brought under control by the firefighters.
Earlier in the evening, a gas barbecue caught fire on the patio of a house in Kayl on rue Kahlebierg. No one was hurt.
