The driver lost control of his car on the N17B between Fouhren and Bettel, crashing into the embankment along the side of the road.
The road was closed to traffic to allow access for the emergency services. The driver, who sustained injuries in the crash, was treated at the scene before being transported to hospital by ambulance.
The N17B was closed until further notice to permit cleaning work to be carried out.
