Medical Centre PotaschbergNothing illegal about private MRIs, say operators

RTL Today
Operators of the MRI at the Medical Centre in Potaschberg issued a press release to underline that there is nothing illegal about the equipment being run in a private practice.

The press release explains that the Medical Centre does not fall under the 2018 hospital laws and further emphasises that there is nothing illegal about the MRI.

In early April, Minister of Health Paulette Lenert issued an order prohibiting the installation of an MRI scanner. Lenert had explained in an interview that the law created a monopoly for hospitals in relation to MRIs.

The statement also addresses the position of Minister of Health Paulette Lenert, who says the Medical Centre has no right to an MRI. It also criticises the National Health Fund (CNS) for not wanting to reimburse costs, a decision based on the same flawed argument, the statement notes.
