CFL rail constructionNo trains running between Luxembourg and Bettembourg, shuttle buses operating

RTL Today
This Monday, the second phase of construction work on the railway line between Luxembourg City and Bettembourg kicks off, lasting until 15 September.

The purpose of these works is to allow CFL to continue working on the new Luxembourg-Bettembourg line at the Bettembourg and Luxembourg train stations, as well as the expansion of the Howald interchange.

During this phase, no trains will be circulating between the two stations. Instead CFL has provided shuttle buses ready to undertake 850 daily rides in both directions.

The replacement buses will operate on three routes:

  • Luxembourg Gare-Gasperich-Bettembourg
  • Luxembourg Gare-Bonnevoie-Berchem-Bettembourg
  • Luxembourg Gare-Esch-sur-Alzette.

In other news, trains are running as usual once again between Bettembourg and Thionville.
