The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) responded to five separate traffic accidents across Luxembourg between Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning, leaving a total of nine people injured.
The first accident occurred just before 5.30pm on the CR152 between Burmerange and Mondorf-les-Bains, where a motorcyclist lost control and was injured in the fall. In addition to the emergency helicopter, ambulance crews from Remich and firefighters from Frisange and Mondorf-les-Bains were dispatched to the scene.
About an hour later, two people were hurt in a collision between two cars on the A3 motorway, on the stretch between the Gasperich interchange and the Aire de Berchem, heading towards France. Rescue teams from Luxembourg City and Mamer provided assistance at the scene.
At around 6.55pm, a car overturned on the RN33 between Kayl and Rumelange. Two people were injured in this incident and received care from the emergency doctor and ambulance crews from Bettembourg and Schifflange. Firefighters from Kayl were also involved in the rescue operation.
Shortly after 1.27am, firefighters and ambulance teams from Esch and Schifflange were called to the CR169 between Schifflange and Foetz, where a car had crashed. One person was reported injured.
Around 1.38am, rescue teams from Mondercange, the Sanem-Differdange centre, Bettembourg, and Schifflange were called to the A4 motorway towards Luxembourg City, after three cars collided near the Lallange interchange. Three people were injured in this incident.
