A fight broke out between two men on Saturday around 8pm on Rue du Dix Septembre in Wiltz, in front of a café.
According to initial reports, the altercation involved two longtime friends who had been drinking together. What began as a night of drinking escalated into a heated argument and eventually a physical confrontation.
During the police intervention, officers discovered that one of the men was the subject of an active arrest warrant and was due to begin serving a prison sentence. He was immediately taken into custody and transferred to the Sanem detention facility.
