While some may have prayed for a snowy end to the year, others simply hoped for dry conditions to accompany their New Year’s festivities this year.
Unfortunately, the forecast is distinctly wet, according to MeteoLux. Although temperatures are relatively mild for this time of year, ranging between 4 and 6°C on the evening of 31 December, it is likely to rain throughout the day and into the night, getting 2024 off to a damp start.
Also joining the party this year is the wind, with gusts of up to 65 km/h predicted on Sunday. Best to move all celebrations indoors, in that case!
If you hoped that the New Year would bring new weather, you might be disappointed, as the Luxembourgish weather forecaster says it is likely to rain for the first three days of January. Time to seek some winter sun abroad, perhaps?
