"Deceptively Quiet" is the title of photographer Véronique Kolber’s new exhibition at the Galerie Dominique Lang.

The work she presents is deeply personal, with sleep, or more accurately sleeplessness, playing a central role.

The photographs also capture that strange, in-between state of being not fully awake nor truly asleep, as though suspended in another world, caught in place while everything around is sleeping.

The exhibition reflects the fragile and vulnerable state the photographer was in at the time.

Memories also play a big role in this body of work, memories that may be vague, charged with emotion, or even distorted.

Deceptively Quiet is on show at the Galerie Dominique Lang in Dudelange until 8 November.
