Work on the reformation of the tax system has begun. The reform will create a system of individual taxation, creating a new bracket which will be up-to-date and fair.

The end goal of the reform is to guarantee a fiscal neutrality, regardless of whether the individual in question is married or not.

According to RTL sources, the Ministry of Finance has created task forces to work together with different institutions to prepare the reform.

The reform is a technically complex one, which consequently means it will take some time for the task forces to complete their duties. Abroad, equivalent reforms have lasted four to five years.

Only four months after the government was formed, it is too early to estimate what political decisions will occur throughout the reform process.
