The new 'Maison médicale' health centre opened its doors in Ettelbruck on Monday morning.

Ettelbruck's medical centre has moved to its new premises on Avenue d'Alliés, where it will benefit from two consultation rooms and two permanent GPs. One of the doctors will be able to perform home visits when required.

The centre will be open from 8pm until midnight on weekdays, and from 8am to midnight at weekends.

The Grand Duchy now has three medical centres for out-of hours care, known as 'maisons médicales'. One is in Luxembourg City, near the CHL, another in Belval, and one in Ettelbruck.

During the inauguration on Monday, Minister of Health Martine Deprez said there were no concrete plans to introduce a fourth centre in eastern Luxembourg, or another one in the north.
