Due to launch early 2020New health app will allow patients to access data digitally and send CNS bills directly

RTL Today
A new app designed to facilitate communication between various actors in the health sector as well as reduce paper waste is due to be available in the beginning of 2020.

The app will, for example, allow patients to use a smartphone or tablet to access blood test results, prescriptions, or certificates.

Additionally, patients will have the option to pay medical bills via the app and immediately send the bill to the National Health Fund (CNS) digitally. This would then allow the CNS to transfer the reimbursement online.

In the future, the app will also allow users to send medical certificates directly to employers from the app. The director of the AMMD, the doctors and dentists' association, Dr Alain Schmit, stressed that the platform will put a strong focus on data protection.

Not every actor in the sector will be able to have complete access to saved data. It is not yet clear whether the app will be free of charge.
