This new emergency service for pets should guarantee a better support system, as well as relieve veterinarians from their work load.
With this new guard system, each veterinarian will be called in once a month on rotation. Each shift, a vet from the north and south of the country work together.
Prior to paying a visit, however, pet owners should call the clinics. If the situation is urgent, vets will attend to the pet straight away. If the procedure can wait til the next day, pet owners will be asked to make an appointment with their usual vet.
