The facility will allow people showing symptoms of Covid-19 to get tested without the need for an appointment, similar to the centre in Kirchberg.

The current Testing Centre in Esch-sur-Alzette will close its doors at 5 pm on Tuesday in order to be converted into a more general Covid-19 consultation centre, which is scheduled to open at 10 am on Wednesday morning.

The Covid-19 Consultation Centre in Esch is located in Rue Jos Kieffer and will be open every day from 10 am to 5 pm.

In a statement, the Ministry of Health stressed once again that this facility is intended for individuals showing symptoms of an infection with Covid-19, or who have already been tested positive. The centre can be visited without scheduling an appointment in advance.

Children below the age of six will not be accommodated in the Consultation Centre. Parents are asked to contact either their child’s paediatrician, a general practitioner, or get in touch with the CHL’s Children’s Hospital in the case of an emergency.

The Testing Centre in Dudelange still requires people to have a doctor’s prescription for a test as well as to schedule an appointment prior to their visit.
