Employees of Luxembourg’s competence centres believe that their mission still needs clarification, as many points fail to be properly defined.
An agreement signed between three teachers’ unions and the Ministry of Education is now supposed to improve a number of issues, promised Minister of Education Claude Meisch while addressing the Chamber of Deputies last week.
The unions issued a press release on Monday to underline that they also believe that the agreement will improve many aspects of work life in the competence centres, as for instance the creation of an adequate legal frame and the reduction of work hours to 30.5 hours per week.
The only teachers union to not have signed the agreement, is the one operated by the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL).
