In a statement published on Tuesday, the Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation (OGBL) and the Luxembourg Confederation of Christian Trade Unions (LCGB) announced that they managed to negotiate a job retention plan with the company.

The trade unions state that they were able to avoid any layoffs. The plan includes, among other things, internal reorganisation measures.

If the economic situation continues to deteriorate, the security company is allowed to lay off a maximum of 15 employees from the end of the year. In that case, severance packages would be provided for. G4S employs around 1,200 people.
