In total, 598 drivers were pulled over and asked to take a breathalyser test. In 19 cases, the test came back positive, resulting in 15 penalty notices and four fines. Seven motorists had their driving licences revoked on the spot.

In Dudelange, the police stopped a driver who tested positive for not only alcohol but also drugs. He had to hand over his driving licence and was taken to hospital for a medical examination.

Another driver caught the attention of the police in Rue de Kayl in Schifflange due to his erratic driving style. After discovering that the motorist was heavily inebriated, the officers withdrew his driving licence.

Shortly before midnight, the police had to deal with a driver on the A1 heading towards Germany. According to witnesses, the car had already hit the crash barriers but continued driving at full speed. A police patrol approached the driver when he stopped at a petrol station in Wasserbillig.

A breathalyser test revealed that his alcohol level was almost double the legal limit. It also turned out that he did not have a driving licence.
