Fire fighters were called out on several occasions on Monday evening for fires starting across the country.

Roeserbann fire fighters were called to intervene in Kockelscheuer shortly before 8pm on Monday. Smoke was reported in rue Robert Schuman, and the Grand Ducal police also attended the incident, in which no one was injured.

A second fire started in Bridel's rue de Luxembourg around 11pm, when smoke was pouring out of a shop. Kopstal fire services quickly dealt with the situation; again, no one was hurt.

In Esch at 12.30am, rubbish sacks were reported to have caught fire in Boulevard John F. Kennedy. Thankfully, fire fighters were able to control the flames quickly.

Finally, a kitchen caught fire in Grevenmacher on Monday afternoon. The incident, which happened in rue de l'Hôpital, required the intervention of two fire stations, an ambulance and a police patrol.
