At around 9.40am, for reasons still unknown, three vehicles collided on the N31 at the entrance to Bettembourg. Two people were injured in the accident, according to the emergency services.
There was also considerable damage to vehicles and roads, with a solar-powered traffic sign destroyed and the road closed during the rescue operation.
