The event was open to athletes of all levels, with races varying from 15km to 112km. Participants had up to 21.5 hours to complete the course, rather than the usual strict time limits in other events. As well as running, participants could walk the course, and there were even races for children, all set within Mullerthal's dramatic scenery.
