Improving Luxembourg's healthcareMPs unanimously approve bill to re-evaluate 20 healthcare professions

The bill was necessary due to a Constitutional Court ruling from 2021, which stated that certain attributions could not be ruled by a Grand Ducal regulation.

As a result, the re-evaluation will enter into law, after MPs across the Chamber voted in favour of the bill.

The Chamber also agreed that more work was required in future to make health professions more attractive to potential candidates.

Déi Lénk’s Nathalie Oberweis noted that the bill’s text does not take into consideration the planned reform of Luxembourg’s health professions, which has been promised for years. Minister of Health Paulette Lenert responded that more time was required for such a reform.
