The Grouft and Stafelter tunnels on Luxembourg’s A7 motorway will be closed nightly from Monday, 31 March, to Friday, 9 May, as part of a fire suppression system upgrade, the Roads and Bridges Authority announced on Thursday.

Closures will take place between 8pm and 5am on weekdays, alternating weekly between northbound and southbound traffic.

During the closures, northbound traffic toward Ettelbruck will be diverted from the Waldhof interchange via the N11, N7, and Lorentzweiler interchange. Southbound traffic toward Luxembourg City will be rerouted from the Lorentzweiler interchange via the N7, N11, and the Waldhof interchange.

Motorists are advised to follow the posted detours and check for updates on the official traffic website cita.lu.
