According to the report, the motorist had crashed his vehicle on Route d’Esch and Route Salzhaff junction in Luxembourg at around 5.30 am on Thursday.
Although the motorist managed to drive off, the police identified the vehicle owner and tracked him down.
Given the clear signs of intoxication, the motorist was subjected to an alcohol test which returned positive. His license was revoked on the spot.
The police also report another incident in Mertzig which concluded with a license confiscation.
