The driver crashed into a tree at around 6.40 pm between Alzingen and Syren. Emergency services report that the driver was critically injured.
At 7.15 pm, a pedestrian was hit by a car on Rue Nicolas Welter in Mersch. The pedestrian sustained light injuries.
Firefighters also had to extinguish a fire that broke out in the undergrowth on Hoenerwee in Hellange. The Frisange and Dudelange fire brigades attended the fire.
One hour later, a construction site in Hesperange began to smoke. Hesperange firefighters investigated the source of the smoke.
