During a police check on the N11, a motorcyclist ignored officers' signals to stop, choosing instead to flee in the direction of Echternach at high speed. Police instigated a chase, eventually stopping the errant motorcyclist in Junglinster. It transpired he was on the roads without a licence, and his motorbike was neither registered nor insured.
Over the course of the same police check, officers came across a lorry driver who had spent the last 17 days on the go without a rest day in between, in breach of EU rules. The police officers provided both the driver and his company with a caution.
