Not everyone wishes to hear everything, and authorities are now urging greater respect on public transport, particularly when it comes to noise.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works in collaboration with local partners, certain behaviours – often carried out unconsciously – can disturb fellow passengers. One issue highlighted in particular is the use of mobile phones, such as making loud calls or playing videos and music at high volume.
Passengers are therefore encouraged to keep phone conversations discreet, use headphones, and remember that public transport is a shared, not private, space.
The campaign has been launched by the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works in cooperation with the Transport Administration, the City of Luxembourg, Luxtram, the TICE syndicate, and the CFL.
