Democratic Party MP André Bauler posed the above question during a Chamber session on Thursday afternoon. In order for consumers to benefit from the available subsidy for buying hybrid or electric cars this year, the vehicle must be registered by 31 December 2021.
Minister of the Environment Carole Dieschbourg said she had received a number of queries along the same lines in recent weeks and that she was seeking a solution. Dieschbourg has planned to meet with representatives of the sector in the autumn to decide on a plan to resolve the issue and organise the distribution of subsidies.
