Mike Koedinger is the head of the Maison Moderne publishing house. In a Facebook post, Koedinger expressed his bewilderment that Infalt would preach about democracy, even though the Luxembourg Association of Journalists (ALJP), according to Koedinger, sent an open letter to the Parliamentary Media Commission without consulting its members first.
Koedinger goes on to say that this letter does not reflect the opinion of the ALJP's members, but at best merely that of the executive committee.
The head of Maison Moderne adds that both Infalt and Ines Kurschat have shown a tendency for unilateral decision making in the name of the Press Council in the past.
Koedinger states that such initiatives are "regrettable", seeing as everybody in the sector knows how urgently needed a reform of press support actually is.
Maison Moderne publishes, among others, the Paperjam, and Delano Magazine. Alongside three other publishers, Maison Moderne has recently published a position paper in support of the draft bill.
