Mersch's Agrorzenter was the symbol of Luxembourg's agriculture for decades. Now, not much remains of the towers of 40 metres.

The Agrorzenter’s grain silos have been steadily destroyed since January. As a memento to Mersch’s agricultural heritage, the ‘Friends of Mersch’s culture’ group has organised an exhibition in the Culture House. Both the municipality and the ‘Leader Lëtzebuerg West’ initiative helped bring the exhibition to life.

Historians believe it is a shame that no single element of the site refers to its heritage and former activities. As an association, the group has a limited amount of influence on the decisions made by constructors who are charged with the work pulling down the former agricultural site.

The exhibition reveals original parts of the tools used to sift through the grain. For those interested in the exhibition, it is open on weekdays between 2 pm and 5 pm and on Sundays from 3 pm to 5 pm. The exhibition will conclude on 1 December.

Below, our colleagues at RTL Tëlee Lëtzebuerg visited the exhibition. Report in Luxembourgish.
