Over the weekendMass brawl triggers police intervention in Luxembourg City

RTL Today
In the early hours of Sunday morning, at around 1.45am, the attention of local law enforcement was drawn to a mass brawl on Rue des Glacis in Luxembourg City.

The police intervened and separated the individuals, who were clearly inebriated. One participant, exhibiting particularly unruly conduct, was ultimately detained and spent the night in a holding cell following a medical evaluation. In addition, he received a penalty notice for his actions.

Drink driving

Alcohol played a role in another incident that transpired on Sunday evening around 5.25pm in Hautcharage. A car collided with a parked vehicle along the roadway before continuing on its path. Subsequently, a police patrol intercepted the driver, requesting a breathalyser test, which led to the immediate suspension of his driving license.

Following the completion of necessary paperwork at the police station, the officers wanted to bring the man home. However, during the journey, the driver’s behaviour took a confrontational and disrespectful turn towards the officers, as reported in Monday’s bulletin by the police. As he did not seem to be able to control his impulses, he too was forced to spend the night in the holding cell.
