This was the verdict on Thursday against a man who is accused of having set fire to his own store in Luxembourg City in July 2015.
The judges deemed it a proven fact that the man did this to obtain money from his insurance.
He was also sentenced to pay back damages of nearly €2 million to the insurance company.
