Police responded to reports of a person lying on the pavement around 5am on boulevard Prince Henri in Esch-sur-Alzette. Upon arrival, officers found a man bleeding heavily from his foot and in need of urgent medical assistance.

Initial reports suggest the man had tried to access an unoccupied building by breaking a window. When going through the glass, he sustained deep cuts to his left foot, resulting in severe bleeding. He was taken to hospital for further treatment, although the injury was not thought to be life-threatening.

Police later inspected the building and found five people within. They submitted to searches and were made to provide proof of their identification. A report was drawn up for each one.

In one case, one of the occupants was made to undergo a full identification, had their phone seized, and a verbal warning was issued.
