A man crashed into the wall of a house at 6.10 pm on Thursday and fled the scene, driving away in his damaged car.
He did not get far, however: the car was found in a car park on Montée St.Urban, some 80 metres away. Shortly afterwards, officers stopped the man as he came out of a nearby house. He submitted to a breathalyser test and was found to be extremely intoxicated. Police confiscated his licence immediately, and the man became aggressive and rude on the way to the police station.
