A violent mugging occurred in Luxembourg City at around 4am on Easter Monday night.
A passer-by was offered drugs but refused to buy them. One of the two culprits then started attacking him and stole his mobile phone. The second man searched the victim’s pockets and stole some money.
The police were able to arrest and identify one of the two assailants. He was immediately taken to the police station. The stolen money was found in his possession and returned to its owner.
Criminal charges have been filed against the suspect. An inquiry is currently underway to find the second perpetrator.
