Luxembourg CityMan arrested with 42 grams of cocaine

On Tuesday night, a police patrol had to deal with a man who was acting out on Place de la Gare in the capital.

When the officers tried to approach the man, who was flailing around with a long stick, he started running towards the train tracks. When the police apprehended him, they swiftly realised that he was a nationally wanted fugitive.

On the way to the police station, the officers also noticed a strong cannabis smell. Altogether, the police seized 42.5 grams of cocaine, 12.9 grams of marijuana, 9.5 grams of hashish, cash, two knives, the long stick, and a mobile phone.

The man was transferred to the Uerschterhaff Prison in Sanem.

Police operation in Gare neighbourhood

Four people were arrested during a police operation in the Gare neighbourhood on Monday afternoon. According to the police, the suspects were caught red-handed while handing out drugs to customers. The public prosecutor’s office ordered the immediate arrest of two individuals on suspicion of drug trafficking.

The other two men were taken to a hospital for a medical check. They tested positive for drugs and were found to be in possession of over 30 drug pellets. Following this discovery, they too were arrested.

The suspects’ drugs, cash, and phones were seized.

All four men appeared before an examining magistrate on Tuesday. One of them was transferred to the Uerschterhaff Prison in Sanem.
