A woman in Dudelange called the police on Wednesday evening after a man kept persistently ringing her doorbell. It transpired that she had kicked the man out of her home two days prior. Officers arriving on the scene identified and spoke to the man, writing up a complaint based on recommendations by the public prosecutor’s office.

A short time later, the woman alerted police once more as the man had returned and subsequently forced his way into her home. He was duly arrested and brought before magistrates on Thursday morning.

In Sandweiler, police were called out to Rue Hiel at around 4.00am on Thursday morning after a car was broken into. At the scene it became evident that thieves had targeted several vehicles in the area. An investigation has been launched.

Elsewhere, police patrols observed several motorists driving under the influence. A woman was spotted driving in zigzags across the A13, almost causing several collisions in the process. Police were unable to successfully carry out a breathalyser test, so she was brought to hospital for blood testing. Meanwhile, in Esch sur Alzette, a motorist was forced to hand over their licence after being stopped by police for erratic driving whilst under the influence.
