On Thursday evening, a man causing a disturbance on Rue Bender in the capital was detained by police after harassing pedestrians and disrupting traffic.

Police were alerted to a disturbance on Rue Bender in the capital on Thursday evening. Officers at the scene found a man harassing pedestrians and running into traffic, causing vehicles to brake or swerve him to avoid a collision.

The individual was deemed to represent a risk to himself and others and was taken into custody. He spent the night in a cell to sober up, following a medical examination.

Elsewhere, police intervened in Filsdorf following a collision on the CR162. The driver was found to be visibly intoxicated and consequently had his licence withdrawn on the spot.

In Niederkorn, a police patrol noticed a vehicle speeding down Route de Bascharage and pulled the car over. The driver performed a breathalyser test, was found to be over the legal alcohol limit, and had their licence confiscated as a result.
