The three defendants, of which one was considered the main instigator, sold thousands of customers cheap lenses at higher prices and pocketed the difference. Customers were missold these lenses between 2004 and 2010.
The court's ruling included two acquittals for two of the opticians and a €4,000 fine as well as one and a half years in prison on probation for the main defendant.
