Tom Habscheid mat 4. Plaz bei de Paralympics
D'Enttäuschung war no der Competitioun beim Lëtzebuerger nawell grouss, well hie sech säin Dram vun enger Medail net erfëlle konnt.

Five years ago in Tokyo, Habscheid finished in seventh place. This time around, the Luxembourgish athlete delivered an even more impressive performance, only missing out on a medal by a mere 21 centimetres.

In the end, his best attempt, shot in the second round, landed at 13.92 metres distance, which earned Habscheid the fourth place overall.

Unfortunately, the athlete could therefore not add a Paralympics medal to his already impressive repertoire of two world cup silver medals, five European cup silver medals, as well as one European bronze medal.

Paralympics gold went to top contender Aled Davies from Great Britain. Davies scored 15.33 metres, which put him ahead of Sajad Mohammadian from Iran (14.88 metres), and Faisal Sorour from Kuwait (14.13 metres).
