Hard cashLuxembourg's cash machines should be preserved and their number increased, argues ULC

RTL Today
Luxembourg's Consumer Association (ULC) published a press release in which they argue that Luxembourg should not only preserve its cash machines but also see their number increased.

ULC referred to Minister of Finance Pierre Gramegna, who had stated that there would not be cash payment restrictions.

In order to live up to that promise, ULC explained, Luxembourg needs to make sure that there are enough ATMs providing consumers with cash.

The association detailed how increasing numbers of consumers had been contacting them to complain about the dwindling numbers of cash machines in Luxembourg - many of them closed along with individual bank and post branches.

ULC added that the availability of cash was particularly important for elderly citizens who struggle with digitisation.
