This Monday marks the tenth anniversary of World Humanitarian Day and Minister Paulette Lenert used the opportunity to present Luxembourg's involvement in international humanitarian aid.
This year's World Humanitarian Day highlight and paid tribute to women humanitarians, and Lenert stressed that violence still often remains gender-based.
Last year, over 400 people active in humanitarian aid were the victims of violence. 131 died on the job, 144 were injured and 130 abducted.
