The Grand Duchy is eligible to receive €93 million overall, and has now received €12.1 million of this sum.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Luxembourg is among the first EU member states to receive a payment.
The government intends to invest the funds in the areas of social cohesion, the green transition, and digitalisation.
Some of the key projects include the new "Neischmelz" neighbourhood in Dudelange, an ultra-secure communication infrastructure based on quantum technology, and a new aid programme aimed at funding charging stations for electric cars across the country.
