On Tuesday night, Luxembourg police were alerted by French authorities that a vehicle had fled a routine check near the border, prompting a cross-border search.

French officers lost sight of the vehicle during the pursuit.

In a follow-up search, Luxembourg police located and stopped the car shortly afterwards on the A6 motorway. Officers found the vehicle had been damaged, was uninsured, and contained two illegal knives.

A roadside drug test administered to the driver returned a positive result. By order of the public prosecutor’s office, the vehicle and the knives were seized, and an official police report was filed.
